Sheeima Paramatmuni, MD

Sheeima Paramatmuni, MD, is board-certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She provides expert care to patients at NYC Psychiatric Associates, located in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York.  

Dr. Paramatmuni values working with children across all age ranges. She specializes in mood, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, impulse control, and conduct disorders. 

Dr. Paramatmuni completed her general psychiatry training at One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in New York and completed her child and adolescent psychiatry training at the University of Connecticut in Storrs. 

She holds a position as an attending in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Natchaug Hospital in Mansfield, Connecticut. Dr. Paramatmuni is also an assistant professor of psychiatry at the UConn School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, and an adjunct faculty member at Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine in North Haven, Connecticut. 

Dr. Paramatmuni aims to provide comprehensive and collaborative care with a focus on the biopsychosocial model. She incorporates a motivational approach to support patients and families with the goal of a patient-centered care approach.
