Paul Cristofano, MD, is an experienced psychiatrist dedicated to helping patients at NYC Psychiatric Associates in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. He is a graduate of the combined Siena/Albany Medical College program in New York, which places a special emphasis on the combination of humanities with the study of medicine.
During his medical training, Dr. Cristofano volunteered his time both locally and internationally. From there, he completed his adult psychiatric training at Westchester Medical Center in Illinois. During his time there, Dr. Cristofano piloted a mental health hotline that provided real-time psychiatric assistance to healthcare workers on the front line during the coronavirus pandemic.
Because of this project, he earned the New York Medical College Resident Gold Humanism Honor Society Award in 2020.
