Chet Chauhan, MD

Chet Chauhan, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist on the team at NYC Psychiatric Associates, located in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York. He takes a holistic approach to treatment that involves learning about his patients' psychiatric symptoms as well as their beliefs, thought patterns, and the challenges they face in their everyday lives. 

Dr. Chauhan treats patients for a number of conditions, including mood disorders (such as depression), anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. He prioritizes collaborative care, and after determining if medication would be helpful, he works together with his patients to explore concerns they may have about treatment or medications. Dr. Chauhan actively engages them in developing a plan to improve their symptoms and quality of life.

Dr. Chauhan received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He then completed his residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, where he served as chief resident.
